my sister reminded me tonight of this email below, which I sent a year and a half ago to my immediate family.
pretty sure that, weirdly enough, i had just suddenly had an important desire to be frugal and minimalist.

i had the thought while walking home one night last week that i live in dangerous New York and i’m old enough where i should be thinking about the possibility of dying accidentally.
should that happen: please dispose of my body in the absolute cheapest fashion possible—ideally, spend zero dollars. Donate as much of it as possible to science. Do not put my body in a coffin or pay for a plot/space at any cemeterial place under any circumstance.
thanks.
loveJeffrey
